MOTIX Software Tools

About MOTIX™ Software & Tools

To complement MOTIX™ low-voltage motor control solutions for both brushed DC and brushless DC motor system applications, Infineon offers MOTIX™ Software.  MOTIX™ Software aims to leverage Infineon’s superior design-in experience to provide users with software solutions for MOTIX™ hardware and to significantly reducing time-to-market.

Infineon offers low level drivers and design-in tools, also an Embedded Software Library for brushless DC motor control which is production ready. It comes bundled with comprehensive documentation and customer support.

The MOTIX™ Embedded Software Library for BLDC Motor Control allows users to easily optimize parameters and carry out configurations. Through automated testing and test coverage reporting, production ready quality is ensured. Furthermore, due to modularized software architecture and platform approach, software solutions are scalable.

Low-Level Drivers provide users with a file pair (c./.h file) per module to allow the initialization and configuration of the module during runtime via the provided APIs. The low-level driver is offered as a demo code. However, customers can also get access to additional documentation and test reports.

MOTIX™ Tools are a set of software and online tools, which allow users to carry out a range of tasks, e.g. configuring, evaluating and prototyping.

  • Configuration Tools is a graphical user interface for MOTIX™ products to evaluate and configure MOTIX™ products.
  • Simulation & Modelling tools allow for efficient prototyping of design and calculation of right values and parameters. For example, one of the simulations and modelling tools is power dissipation tool. Which helps users to easily calculate power dissipation of selected devices.
  • Finder & Selection Tools are parametric search tools, which for finding the right microcontroller or simulation model as per their required parameters. For instance, the simulation model finder would enable the user to search and select the right simulation according to product model, product category, model language, etc.
  • Utilities are tools which enable users to accomplish a range of tasks such as get readings, analyze data and create dashboards. Utilities consist of Micro Inspector Pro and Memory Analyzer.

To support you during the evaluation of your product/board, Infineon Developer Center provides you two main sections:

Software: here you will find all the software from Infineon

Tools: here you will find all tools which are getting offered by Infineon for the evaluation
