We develop new technologies that make life better and safer, together with local and regional universities and renowned industrial companies. Through these collaborations, industry and universities are better networked, new skills are established in the region and the opportunities for new jobs are created.

As an active member of the Strategic Partnership for Sensor Technology, we are helping to expand Bavaria's technological market leadership in sensor technology worldwide.

We are also a member of AIR. In this cooperation we focus on exchanging experiences, creating synergies, deepening expertise and driving forward interdisciplinary technological projects in order to help shape the future of AI.

School partnerships with grammar schools and vocational schools are very important to us. We want to get boys and girls interested in the development and production of semiconductors and show them how exciting and promising high-tech made in Regensburg is. Our annual Girls' Day is an outstanding example of this. By participating in the Regensburg Science Night "Nacht.schafft.Wissen.", the Infineon Prize and the promotion of the "University for Children", we bring science and semiconductors to many people.

Sometimes not only grades are worthy of an award, but also commitment to society. This is proven by the Infineon-Preis, which is awarded annually by Infineon Technologies AG Regensburg with 7,500 euros. The Infineon Prize was awarded to the five best graduates of the Berufliche Oberschule Regensburg and the Städtische Berufsoberschule Wirtschaft.

Mayor Gertrud Maltz-Schwarzfischer and Infineon site manager Jörg Recklies were not holding back with their praise at the award ceremony. They honored:

  • Nadja Bullmann (Regensburg),
  • Anna Hofbauer (Regensburg),
  • Maximilian Jenek (Regensburg),
  • Laura Mundigl (Obertraubling) and
  • Vitus Tuschl (Nittendorf).

Not only did they achieve top grades in their final exams, but they also did a great deal for their fellow pupils and society as a whole...

Each of them received a certificate and 1,000 euros in prize money. The two schools also received a total of 2,500 euros as a thank you for their commitment.

Since 2017, Infineon has also honored the best of the integration pre-classes at FOSBOS. The associated cash prize helps young people to build a stable future in Germany.

From the integration pre-classes, 2024 received the special prize (from left to right): Mohaddase Hasani, Nadiia Shevchenko, Ava Naderi. Dr. Michael Völkl, headmaster of the FOS/BOS Regensburg, and Jörg Recklies handed over the prize.
