Overview
18 W USB-C power adapter solution using EZ-PD™ PAG1
The 18 W power adapter reference design is built on EZ-PD™ PAG1S and PAG1P controllers. The solution meets the global efficiency standards including DoE level VI/ CoC tier 2 and passes the IEC safety standards. The solution is targeted for USB PD (including PPS), QC power adapters. It can also support adapters that require legacy charging including Apple charging, BC1.2, QC 3.0 and Samsung AFC. Together, EZ-PD™ PAG1S and PAG1P offer a low BOM cost, high-performance PD/PPS/QC compliant solution.
- Supports USB PD 3.0
- Fixed PDO: 5 V/3 A, 9 V/2 A
- PPS: 3 V-5.9 V/3 A, 3.3 V-11 V/0-2 A
- Passes CoC tier 2 and DoE level VI efficiency standards
- Passes IEC safety standards
- Low BOM cost with a simple primary start-up controller (EZ-PD™ PAG1P) and an integrated SR+PD controller (EZ-PD™ PAG1S)
The board hardware design files (schematic, layout etc) and firmware are readily available below for customers to reduce their design cycles.
