Februar 2025 – Die Infineon Technologies AG, ein weltweit führender Halbleiterhersteller im Bereich Stromversorgungssysteme und IoT, liefert Sensortechnologie für den hochmodernen Saugroboter Saros Z70 von Roborock. Der intelligente Roboter zeichnet sich durch seinen 5-Achsen-Roboterarm aus, dem Ersten seiner Art in der Branche, der Hindernisse aus dem Weg räumen und in Bereichen reinigen kann, die zuvor unzugänglich waren. Möglich wird diese Weiterentwicklung durch den kleinen Formfaktor der REAL3™ Time-of-Flight (ToF)-Technologie von Infineon. Nach der Vorstellung auf der CES 2025 in Las Vegas hat Roborock die neue Saros-Serie nun in Deutschland präsentiert.
Die gemeinsam mit pmdtechnologies entwickelte REAL3 Time-of-Flight-Technologie ermöglicht eine vollkommen neue Form der Navigation und Objekterkennung von Reinigungsrobotern, bei gleichzeitig erstklassiger Leistung und hoher Platzeffizienz. Im Vergleich zu herkömmlichen Laser-Entfernungsmessern ist die Technologie 100-mal kleiner, wodurch Platz für die Integration des versenkbaren Roboterarms geschaffen wird. Abstriche beim schlanken und kompakten Design müssen dabei keine gemacht werden, was ein bedeutender Fortschritt für die Robotik-Branche ist. Darüber hinaus ermöglicht die Integration einer zusätzlichen Time-of-Flight-Kamera von Infineon einen präzisen und reibungslosen Betrieb des Roboterarms, wodurch die Leistungsfähigkeit des Saros Z70 erheblich verbessert wird. Kunden profitieren dadurch von vielen weiteren Vorteilen bei der Verwendung des Saugroboters bei der Reinigung ihres Zuhauses, da der Roboterarm jetzt in der Lage ist, blockierende Objekte aus dem Weg zu räumen und Bereiche zu reinigen, die zuvor nicht zugänglich waren.

Indem Infineon den ersten 5-Achsen-Roboterarm für einen Saugroboter ermöglicht, unterstreicht das Unternehmen seine Ambitionen, die Wettbewerbsfähigkeit und den Markteinführungsansatz im Bereich Sensoren weiter zu stärken. Um Innovationen und den Mehrwert für Kunden weiter zu beschleunigen, hat Infineon sein Sensor- und RF-Know-how in einer neuen Geschäftseinheit (SURF, sensor unit and radio frequency) gebündelt, um das Wachstum des Unternehmens auf dem Sensormarkt voranzutreiben. Mit diesem strategischen Schritt soll das enorme Potenzial der Sensor- und RF-Märkte genutzt werden, die bis 2027 voraussichtlich ein Volumen von über 20 Milliarden US-Dollar erreichen werden.
