How long before the desired start of training should I apply?

In Germany, you should apply for an apprenticeship or dual study program one year before the desired start date. For an apprenticeship in Austria, the application deadline is end of March of the same year.

Which documents do I need for my application?

No matter which positions you are applying for, you always need a CV. Find helpful tips for your CV below. In addition, in a cover letter you can tell us about your qualifications, your motivation for applying for the position, and how you fit with our company. Information on whether we need further documents can be found in the job advertisement you are applying for.

Immediately, after submitting your application, you will receive a confirmation e-mail. In any case, we will try to give you personal feedback as soon as possible. You can track the status of your application in your candidate profile (in case you signed up) at any time.

Assessment

In case of a positive response, you will be invited to take part in an assessment. This will give us a first impression of your skills and knowledge.

Telephone interview via Webex

As an alternative to an assessment, you can also be invited to a telephone interview via Webex by our HR department. The aim of the telephone interview is to find out more about you personally and your CV. Meanwhile, both parties can address any open questions.

Face-to-face interview

The next step is a face-to-face interview. We want to get to know each other better and introduce you to the position and Infineon in more detail. The information and personal impressions gathered in the interview are generally enough for both parties to decide.

Assessment

Alternatively, an assessment day is held. Several applicants are invited to a local event so we can get to know them better.

When the steps up to now have progressed to everyone’s satisfaction, you will be offered a contract, and you can soon start your career at Infineon.

The first week of your apprenticeship or dual studies is focused on getting to know your fellow students and the company. From the very first day, a buddy will be at your side to offer you help and advice. We do everything we can to make you feel comfortable.
