Infineon and Cerence collaborated to create a system utilizing XENSIV™ MEMS microphones and EVD software for emergency vehicle detection. The system notifies users of approaching emergency vehicles via siren detection, improving awareness for both autonomous and human-driven vehicles. AEC-Q103 qualified XENSIV MEMS microphones and Cerence EVD software algorithm are combined for optimized performance.

The TLx4966 double Hall sensor family provides vertical and perpendicular sensing in one kit. It includes a USB graphical interface for PC display of switching, 3D sensor mapping, and data storage. The sensor head is mountable on applications. Hardware needs separate order or self-assembly.

TLI4971 S2GO (Shield2Go) version consists of 3 main building blocks:

  • Sensor board (top): Incorporating the TLI4971 industrial current sensor (equipped with M4 screw connectors for high current capabilities < 20A)
  • Adapter board (Shield2Go format): The adapter board comes in the Shield2Go pinout and can be connected to the sensor board via the PCB edge connectors. It implements sensor application circuit & peripherals as well as pinout to the Infineon XMC 2Go MCU platform.
