Flasher in-circuit programmers

SEGGER’s Flasher family of professional in-circuit programmers is designed to be used in service environments, prototype programming, and mass production. Flashers work with a PC or in stand-alone mode, connect via USB and/or Ethernet, and are cross-platform for Linux, macOS and Windows.

Flasher PRO, Portable PLUS and Compact, have a standard internal memory of 128 MB to store firmware images and programming configurations. Where larger images need to be programmed, the Flasher PRO XL comes into play. With its extra large and expandable memory capacity, it can also program target systems running large footprint software. For integration into space-limited production environments, like production rigs or automated test equipment (ATE), the Flasher Compact is ideal.

The battery-powered handheld Flasher Portable PLUS is a  rugged, reliable and portable flash programmer, specifically designed to meet the needs of production-grade flash programming in the field. It can also be 100 % tailored to the customer’s wants and needs.

For high-volume gang programming at maximum speed SEGGER’s Flasher Hub controls multiple Flasher Compacts so that they program simultaneously. Up to 24 Flashers can be connected to create a single, powerful gang programmer for efficient high-speed parallel programming.

SEGGER Flashers are capable of all AURIX™ specific Flash features such as UCB (user configuration blocks), SOTA (software over-the-air) or programming of the HSM Flash.

Flasher PRO

SEGGER’s Flasher PRO is SEGGER’s almost anything in-system programming (ISP) tool used to program non-volatile memory. The memories that can be programmed range from the internal flash memory of microcontrollers and SoCs to external parallel flash memory (CFI Flashes) as well as (Q)SPI flashes. It is fast, robust, reliable, and engineered to handle almost all flash programming requirements in the industry. The Flasher PRO can be used in stand-alone or PC-based mode. It connects via USB, Ethernet or an RS232 interface and has internal memory to store firmware images and programming configurations. Flasher PRO comes with software for Linux, macOS and Windows.

Flasher PRO XL

The Flasher PRO XL is the extra-large memory version of SEGGER’s Flasher PRO. With all the same features of the Flasher PRO and its extra large expandable memory capacity, the Flasher PRO XL can also program target systems running large footprint software. Flasher PRO XL can be used in stand-alone or PC-based mode and comes with software for Linux, macOS and Windows. It connects via USB, Ethernet or an RS232 interface.

Flasher Compact

Flasher Compact is the compact twin to the Flasher PRO, primarily designed for installation into production rigs or automated test equipment (ATE) where production space is limited. It is an in-circuit flash programming tool, designed to program the internal and external memory of an MCU or SOC as well as program a (Q)SPI memory chip to which it is directly connected. In combination with the Flasher Hub the Flasher Compact becomes a powerful gang programming setup with ultra short programming cables and up to 24 individual channels.

Flasher Portable PLUS

The Flasher Portable PLUS is SEGGER's handheld, stand-alone service programmer for microcontrollers with on-chip and external flash memory. Designed as an extremely rugged, reliable and portable, production-grade flash programmer, it is specifically optimized for in-field firmware updates requiring a service technician. It has a long track record of proven success in the field, including in harsh environments. The device comes with an intuitive user interface. Firmware images or programming configuration files can be stored on the Flasher, so one unit can be used for different targets, versions, or configurations
