Body Control Module (BCM) with integrated Gateway
Designing BCMs with integrated gateway function
In addition to the classic Body Control Module design, there is a trend to integrate a gateway function, especially in the C to F vehicle segments, which is from a small family to luxury cars.
Infineon products for Body Control Modules with Gateway address major market trends in:
- Energy efficiency, for example, with the replacement of relays and fuses with high-side and low-side power ICs, half-bridge IC motor control, and LED drivers. To achieve the lowest current consumption, supply ICS, System Basis Chips and high- and low-speed CAN transceivers can be used. In addition, when a standby controller is necessary, that can be addressed by the Traveo™ II family.
- Safety, with AURIX™ TC2xx or TC3xx microcontroller families, which include an HSM (Hardware Security Module), which contributes as well as pressure sensors in tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS).
And connectivity and security, with our transceivers and receivers that are used in remote keyless entry (RKE) and passive keyless entry (PKE) as well as with our security controllers. Last but not least, for Car Access, as recommended by Car Connectivity Consortium (CCC), Infineon offers the CC EAL6+ high certified Security Controller Family SLI37CMxxx.
