Digital multiphase controllers

Highly flexible digital multiphase controllers for CPUs, GPUs, SoCs, and ASICs

anchor

Overview

Infineon’s feature-rich multiphase digital controller portfolio powers CPUs, GPUs, SoCs, and ASICs. These digital controllers offer programmable features through an intuitive GUI to optimize the performance and efficiency of a specific application's workload. Pin-strapped programming enables the use of a single part number for multiple applications and/or platforms thereby simplifying the inventory for customers.

Key Features

  • Proprietary non-linear control
  • Interfaces: Intel, AMD, AVS, PMBus
  • Highly customizable via GUI
  • Pin-strap for multiple applications

About

Software-defined architecture with Arm® Cortex®-M0 allows new features and applications to be addressed. Additionally, a rich native feature set with extensive telemetry, I/O programmability, fault protection, and pin-strapping provides enhanced flexibility for system designers to achieve optimum performance across multiple workloads and system architectures.

Hyper-transient phase control offers infinite large-signal bandwidth, superior high-speed current balancing, and best-in-class transient performance to achieve the lowest output capacitance with standard inductor and trans-inductor voltage regulator (TLVR). This contributes to a reduced BOM cost.

Digital programmability allows fast prototyping and "what-if" scenarios. Programming and pin-strapping simplify inventory management across new platforms and applications.
