CoolSET™ Switch fixed frequency

Integrated high-performance fixed frequency flyback ICs for AC-DC power conversion

Overview

The CoolSET™ Switch fixed frequency (FF) family integrates a current-mode controller and an up to 950 V avalanche-rugged CoolMOS™ P7 MOSFET in a single package for flyback and HV buck SMPS. FF operation gives predictable, easy-to-filter EMI; active burst mode and digital frequency reduction hold efficiency across the load range. Covers auxiliary suplies up to 40 W with comprehensive built-in protections.

About

The CoolSET™ Switch fixed frequency (FF) integrates a current-mode controller with 700 V, 800 V, or 950 V avalanche-rugged CoolMOS™ P7 MOSFET for flyback and HV buck SMPS in a single package. Configurations cover washing machines, refridgerators, building automation, server, and industrial SMPS, with power outputs up to 42 W.

CoolSET™ Switch fixed frequency products offer active burst mode, frequency reduction, and an integrated error amplifier cut BOM and boost light- and medium-load efficiency without external components. CCM/DCM support with slope compensation and brown-in protection enables robust cascode startup in a single IC and advanced auto-restart protection minimizes system disruption under all fault conditions.
