About

PSOC™ 6 microcontrollers (MCU) family is a range of general-purpose MCUs built on an ultra-low-power architecture ideal for battery-operated, low-power applications. The PSOC™ 6 MCU platform is based on a dual-core CPU architecture based on ARM® Cortex®-M4 and Cortex®-M0+ that lets designers optimize for power and performance simultaneously . Security is built into the platform by incorporating a hardware-based Root of Trust (RoT), hardware cryptographic accelerators, isolated processing environments, secured boot, key storage, and secured firmware updates. All devices in the portfolio support capacitive touch interface featuring 4th-generation CAPSENSE™, and integrate a wide variety of analog and digital peripherals. The PSOC™ 62x4 device family in the portfolio offers 256 KB of flash, 128 KB of SRAM, and a rich set of analog peripherals that can operate even in device deep sleep mode for low power analog signal processing. The PSOC™ 62x4 family has up to 62 GPIOs, and is offered in the 64-TQFP, 80-TQFP, and 68-QFN package configurations.

PSOC™ 6 MCUs are well suited for battery-operated IoT applications with embedded security requirements. PSOC™ 62x4 device family can act be used either as the main application MCU, or as a low-power coprocessor MCU with an applications processor. With two simultaneous sampling 12-bit SAR ADCs, Opamps, comparators, and high resolution PWMs, PSOC™ 62x4 family can implement a robust, dual sensorless FOC motor control solutions that is a common requirement in residential HVAC applications and home appliances.
