About

PSOC™ 4 HV high-voltage (HV) is a family of 32-bit microcontrollers providing one-chip solutions for smart sensor designs for automotive applications. PSOC™ 4 HV integrates high-precision, programmable analog blocks, and programmable digital blocks with high-voltage (12 V) microcontroller operation and communication transceivers such as LIN/CXPI PHY, and an Arm® Cortex® M0+ CPU with embedded memory.

Infineon's PSOC™ 4 HV family of products is designed to be compliant with the automotive functional safety level beyond ASIL-B according to ISO 26262.

  • One-chip solutions for smart sensors integrating analog front-end, MCU, and connectivity to save board space
  • High-precision analog performance for high-accuracy applications such as current-sensing
  • Robust capacitive-sensing performance with very high SNR, enabling elegant automotive HMI
  • Safe, smart sensor and HMI designs with integrated functional safety features
  • Connects directly to a 12 V battery supply and to the LIN/CXPI network
  • Total system solution (hardware, software, and collaterals)

The PSOC™ 4 high-voltage precision analog (HVPA) is a great solution for various applications including 12 V lead-acid battery monitoring such as intelligent battery sensors as well as high-voltage battery current sensors. The precision analog is designed to provide high accuracy and reliability in the measurements, allowing for better battery management and increased safety.

On the other hand, the PSOC™ 4 high-voltage mixed signals (HVMS) can be used in a variety of applications such as automotive body HMI including touch buttons, sliders, and touchpads for steering wheels, door modules, overhead modules, and more. Additionally, it can be used for automotive lighting applications, liquid level and quality sensing, as well as PTC heaters. This mixed signal solution provides a versatile platform for various sensing and control applications, with the ability to customize and combine different functions to meet specific requirements. With the PSOC™ 4 HVMS, designers can create innovative and intelligent solutions for a broad range of industries and applications.
