About

Ultra-low-power consumption is a must for Continuous blood Glucose Meters (CGMs) and insulin patch pumps to ensure a long battery lifetime, especially in deep sleep/idle modes. Infineon's  edge compute SoCs and Bluetooth® low energy (BLE) SoCs support flexible sleep modes and enables system optimization, such as maintaining sensing/control activities, while the radio is in sleep mode.

Failed connectivity is the biggest patient complaint with Continuous Glucose Monitoring devices. Our industry-leading AIROC™ Bluetooth® LE SoCs fix these issues with robust RF technology, interoperabiolity capabilities, and reliable connectivity.  The longer range and low latency features of our SoCs are important for diabetes management device design. These proven SoCs are widely deployed worldwide in some of the most demanding environments.

The PSOC™ Bluetooth® LE portfolio consists of highly integrated SoCs that combine powerful processing power and relaible connectivity with the key analog blocks required to sense small signals from biosensors. These solutions are ideal for compact designs that need efficient edge processing and dependable wireless communication.

Our continuous and self-monitoring blood glucose meter reference designs help designers get their devices to market faster.

Security is a growing concern for healthcare devices such as CGMs and insulin injectors. New worldwide regulations have been created to protect patients' data and prevent counterfeit products in these devices. Infineon’s  AIROC™ SoCs and PSOC™ microcontrollers include state-of-the-art crypto engines, while our OPTIGA™ Authentication solutions can be deployed on healthcare consumables such as insulin cartridges to eliminate counterfeiting.
