Infineon's EZ-USB™ SD3 is a USB 5 Gbps to storage controller that allow developers adding storage to any USB port. It supports up to two independent storage ports which may be configured in any combination of SD, eMMC or SDIO. The storage standards supported are SD3.0, eMMC4.41 and SDIO3.0. In addition, EZ-USB™ SD3 comes with built-in RAID with support for RAID0 and RAID1. With RAID support, EZ-USB™ SD3 can be a low-power, small-footprint RAID-on-Chip (ROC) controller with SD or eMMC storage.
In addition to the storage ports, EZ-USB™ SD3 comes with an ARM9 CPU and 512 KB SRAM, providing over 200 MIPS of computational power. EZ-USB™ SD3 has plenty of GPIOs and support for multiple peripheral interfaces such as I²C, SPI, UART and I²S. It is available in a 121 ball BGA package.
