Auxiliary motor control - 12 V DC motor controller
Comprehensive 12 V DC motor control portfolio offers cost- and energy-effective solutions for automotive applications
Versatile 12 V DC motor controller solutions for automotive applications. Brushed DC motors are easy to control, while Brushless DC (BLDC) motors are smaller with less wear but require more advanced control algorithms. Explore our comprehensive MOTIX™ low-voltage motor control range to find your perfect solution.
Advanced automotive 12 V DC motor control solutions
Whatever you touch in a car, there is an electric motor close by. Brushed DC motors are easy to control and often serve as actuators with an overall short operating time. Torque control down to zero speed is easy to achieve. Brushless DC (BLDC) motors have less wear but need a complex control algorithm and, therefore, higher computing power than for a DC-brush motor drive. BLDC motors are most suitable for applications demanding long-term continuous operation time like fuel pumps.
Infineon offers a comprehensive product portfolio, including driver ICs, bridges, SBCs (system basic chips), and MCUs (microcontroller units), providing a total solution for 12 V DC motor control systems that cater to various automotive applications. Explore the extensive range of MOTIX™ low-voltage motor control solutions from Infineon, designed to meet your specific requirements.
