The 45th International Spring Seminar on Electronics Technology is the premier European forum for the exchange of scientific information between young and senior scientists from academic communities and electronic industries.  

The major objective of the conference is to support an exchange of experience in utilizing advanced electronics, micro- and nanoelectronics manufacturing technology, research, development, testing and teaching, as well as international cooperation and student exchanges, and supporting collaboration among junior and senior scientists from Europe and other continents.

 

The PCIM Europe is the world's leading exhibition and conference for power electronics, intelligent motion, renewable energy, and energy management. Infineon speaker Oliver Haeberlen talked about "Making GaN Fit for Industrial Applications: How to Achieve Ultimate Robustness and Reliability“.

Infineon presented itself at the Job Fair Zagreb from 11th to 12th May 2022 in the Martinovka Sports Hall. Visitors had the chance to meet more than 140 companies and listen to fascinating panel discussions. Our representatives, including alumni of FER Zagreb, had many promising talks with talented students during these two days.

Infineon Workshop on SiC Technology and Production was organized by Infineon Austria and WKO Belgrade/Serbia. It delved into the challenges faced and the innovative solutions developed.

As the leading power supplier with >20 years of heritage in silicon carbide (SiC) technology development and production, we are prepared to cater to the need for smarter, more efficient energy generation, transmission, and consumption. During this presentation it was explained why SiC devices offer a number of attractive characteristics and key benefits.

The workshop provided an interactive platform to connect participants from the worlds of industry, research and education and Infineon to explore future collaborations opportunities to tackle remaining challenges in the field of SiC and Production.

This year's spring event informed about the latest status of KDT and the effects of the European Chips Act on KDT. It provided insights into and examples of the success enabled by the ECSEL programme so far. A case study showing the high impact of ECSEL-projects on Austria companies and success stories of ECSEL projects was presented! Detailed, firsthand information on the SRIA 2022 and the focus topics 2022 rounded up the conference.

A workshop organized by Infineon Austria in Osijek (Croatia), gave insights from various domains and fields of work like chip design, XMC, software for test automation, within the company.

Together with 11 other Austrian companies we presented Infineon Technologies at the Virtual Austrian IT Career Day 2022, organized by WKO Aussenwirtschaft Austria. We had many interesting conversations with IT talents from Croatia, whether students, graduates or experienced professionals.

Together with 114 international companies and 34 media partners, Infineon presented its opportunities for students in this year´s company catalogue at the Warsaw University of Technology.

Interested students were informed about Infineon in general, the IPCEI project and the possibility to join IPCEI as an intern or a PhD student.

About 220 participants joined the virtual edition of the National Career Days Bulgaria. Our representatives had many chats with interested talents from Bulgaria and presented Infineon´s career opportunities.

At the EESTEC Jobfair in Ljubljana we had many interesting conversations with students at our booth. They had the chance to find out more about our products and their opportunities to join Infineon as an IPCEI intern or PhD student. A highlight of the job fair was the speed dating on Thursday.

Within the framework of the IPCEI project, Infineon took part in the discussion and presentation of best-practice-examples of smart solutions for digitalizations of companys.

ECSEL-Austria is an industry-driven national research, development and innovation platform representing the technology areas of micro and nanoelectronics, embedded systems and systems integration.

Internet-of-Things: Infineon enabling innovations at the frontier between the digital and real world

The IoT started to become part of the world we are living in. Cars are connected and notify each other about hazardous events on the road. Homes get increasingly smart gaining more security, convenience, and energy efficiency. Still, we are just at the beginning of the journey and semiconductor-driven technologies can accelerate the innovation cycle.

65+ nations explored the future of mobility.
This event targets major mobility topics in the field of Automotive, Rail, Logistics, Traffic Infrastructure, Safety & Security, Shared Mobility, Smart City and Digitalization. Infineon contributed with a talk by Josef Haid on "Transforming the car into a safe IoT device and why hardware-based security is key".

Within the framework of the IPCEI project, Infineon took part in the discussion and presentation of best-practice-examples of smart solutions for digitalizations of companys.

At the virtual ECPE workshop Infineon contributed with an impulse statement presentation about innovation management and the IPCEI project. 

At the Annual Expert Meeting for SiC, GaN and other related topics, Infineon contributed with an interesting talk from
Dr. Gerald Deboy, distinguished engineer for power discretes and system engineering, on the benefits of GaN HEMTs for
low- and high-power applications.

Infineon Austria was taking part on the second day of the conference and presented IPCEI on Microelectronics with an introduction to the topic Productive 4.0.

Infineon presented itself at the online career fair IAESTE Slovakia from 22nd to 26th November 2021. It focused on students studying technical fields. Infineon promoted job positions at the platform, including several vacancies for doctoral theses, master theses and the IPCEI PhD scholarship program.

Infineon Austria welcomed Austrian trade commissioners from the IPCEI Microelectronics EU-13 countries to give an overview about the project and talk about it's spillover activities. The meeting ended with a fab tour and a meeting with the board members Sabine Herlitschka and Oliver Heinrich.

The event powered by Infineon Technologies Austria AG and EIT Manufacturing CLC East took place at the Infineon Hub in Vienna and gave startups the possibility to connect and discuss a possible collaboration with Infineon.

Infineon Austria joined the Electronic Based Systems Conference 2021 in Graz.
One key takeaway: Europe can be a global leader in building a green, zero-emissions society.

IPCEI Microelectronics was presented at the conference, which was taking place under the motto: “Sustainable Society: Move Data, not People“ - Positioning Europe.

AUSTROCHIP is an annual platform to present the latest activities in the field of microelectronics and integrated circuits in Austria and neighboring countries. Infineon was part of this workshop, organized by the Institute for Integrated Circuits (IIC) of Johannes Kepler University Linz.

The Higher Education and Scholarship Fair was organized by the Institute for the Development of Education with the aim of presenting various study programs, scholarships, internships and educational opportunities for Croatian citizens, both in Croatia and abroad. On 13th October 2021, Infineon exhibited with a virtual booth at the fair and communicated with interested candidates. Also, Infineon presented the company and the IPCEI project on the main stage of the virtual event.

At this digital conference and trade show Infineon Technologies was taking part with two interesting speeches about how to "Design your first indoor air quality solution using Infineon’s XENSIV™ PAS CO2 Sensor" as well as "Si vs WBG - Making the Right Choice For SMPS".

The European congress and exhibition on advanced materials and processes main objective is to foster knowledge transfer between it's participants. Infineon participated with an interesting speech by Mr. Fugger, about the increasing relevance of materials science for the power semiconductor industry.

Stefan Rohringer gave an introduction to the IPCEI on Microelectronics during his speech about ECSEL-Austria.
