Infineon on the agenda

Thank you for joining us at Sensors Converge in The San Jose McEnery Convention Center from June 27-29.

We were honored to take such a large role in the agenda and hope to see you all in Santa Clara next June!

Tuesday, June 28

12:30PM - 1:15PM

Presented by the Trusted Computing Group (TCG) and Steve Hanna, Distinguished Engineer, Connected Secure Systems, Infineon

IoT devices are constantly under attack and the attacks just keep getting better. What happens if an attacker finds a chink in your armor and successfully infects a device or thousands of them? Trusted Computing Group’s newest cyber resilient technology standards show how to detect and recover from such an attack in an automated manner. Come learn about how you can use this new technology.

Infineon will be announcing winners of its “Build AI for the IoT” design contest at Sensors Converge on Tuesday, June 28 at 4:30 pm PT on the Main Stage.

Contestants unlocked the potential of AI on edge devices, running complex AI algorithms right on the edge in this challenge. Design contest participants used Infineon's flexible, ultra-low power PSoC™ 6 technology combined with the secure connectivity of the AIROC™ wireless chips and industry-leading sensors in the XENSIV™ family to re-invent the way we interact with everyday objects in our homes.

10:10AM - 10:40AM

Presented by Steve Robbins, Principal Field Applications Engineer: Radar, Sensors, & RF, Infineon

Predictive Maintenance techniques detect anomalies in equipment before those turn into system-critical failures, allowing pro-active maintenance scheduling before the equipment actually breaks down. This increases equipment uptime and reduces overall maintenance costs.  Infineon proposes a predictive maintenance solution that combines various sensors deployed to monitor single components of production machinery to an entire smart building ecosystem. Typical use cases include HVAC equipment where Infineon sensors monitor current, vibration, and airflow in motors, compressors, and fans.

Co-located Embedded Technologies Conference

Wednesday, June 29

9:00AM - 9:40AM

Featuring David Jones, Head of the IoT & Sensor Solutions (ISS) Group, Infineon

As “intelligence” moves to the edge, disruptions to power– computing and economic– follow. Perhaps that’s why the world’s cloud giants are investing heavily in AI at the edge. But advancements are happening rapidly, unlocking both new use cases and new security issues. This panel will offer a pulse of the market, overlooked dynamics builders and investors must consider, and a broader perspective on the critical implications of this shift.
