The new revolutionary standard for smart home: Connected Home over IP
As the demand in smart homes increases, so does the need for a common IoT communication standard. Consumers love smart home applications but they should work seamlessly and securely. Providing consistent compatibility among smart home products with a constant high security level is one of today’s main challenges.
The industry-wide “Connected Home over IP” standards effort initiated by the Zigbee Alliance aims at creating a fully interoperable smart home ecosystem spanning all the different companies and smart home devices.
Consumers should be able to add and control connected devices in a uniform way based on smart home devices that are easy to use, secure and reliable.
Working together with other smart home leaders, Infineon is driving the new Connected Home over IP standard to make this vision a reality.
