Infineon’s AIROC™ Wi-Fi 6/6E family combines the most advanced Wi-Fi + Bluetooth® in a single chip. Operating in the 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz frequency bands, these radios interoperate with both new and older generations of access points and client devices.

The newly opened 6 GHz band (Wi-Fi 6E) offers a large number of channels in a relatively uncrowded frequency, enabling low latency and high performance for the most demanding applications. Infineon’s architectural innovations provide additional power efficiency and reliability across a variety of use cases.

This family includes products that can be combined with Infineon, third-party MCUs or with Linux-based Microprocessors (MPUs). Our flexible software architecture enables easy porting between different host platforms. 

Infineon’s advanced Coexistence technology ensures reliable operation of Wi-Fi and Bluetooth® to minimize performance degradation and connectivity issues when the two radios operate concurrently.

Infineon’s AIROC™ Wi-Fi 6/6E and Bluetooth® 5.x combo family expands our Wi-Fi leadership into 802.11ax including tri-band (2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, 6 GHz) capability. Solutions include both 1x1 SISO and 2x2 MIMO configurations, and support for SDIO, PCIe, USB and UART host interfaces.

AIROC™ Wi-Fi 6/6E enables exceptional high-quality video and audio streaming and gaming experiences even in congested network environments and significantly reduces latency operating in the 6 GHz spectrum.
