ICL5102 is Infineon’s highly integrated PFC + half-bridge combo controller that enables the reduction of external components and optimizes performance by harmonized operation of the two stages. Compared to the level-shifter technology, the integrated coreless transformer featuring galvanic isolation further reduces the loss at high operation frequency and enhances the capability of handling huge negative voltages. Low variation in the output voltage and current allows for best-in-class THD and high power factor as well as a greater ability to withstand AC line perturbations. The multi-mode operation of the PFC converter provides excellent efficiency over the whole load range. The wide input voltage range up to 480 VAC in ICL5102HV enables global high-power designs with just one device.

The XDP™ high-performance digital power control ICs enable smart and connected lighting, meeting demanding LED driver requirements with unique features. The broad portfolio ranges from single-stage high-power-factor controllers that are primary-/secondary-side regulated (XDPL8219) to dual-stage flyback combo controllers with integrated PFC (XDPL8221). Integrated start-up cell, high-voltage capabilities, ultra-low stand by power consumption, UART interface and parameter setting via .dp interface board all enable numerous designs in just one platform design.

The ICL88xx family of single-stage flyback AC-DC LED controller ICs for constant voltage output is tailored for cost-efficient LED lighting and power supply applications. The mixed-signal control ICs have an optimal price-performance ratio with excellent power factor, THD, low EMI, and optimum efficiency at high light quality. ICL8800 includes all basic family features, the advanced ICL8810 and the fully-featured ICL8820 enable smart lighting with additional features such as low stand-by power and jitter for emergency lighting.
