Overview

The rapidly growing area of embedded control applications is representing one of the most time-critical operating environments for today’s microcontrollers. Complex control algorithms have to be processed based on a large number of digital as well as analog input signals, and the appropriate output signals must be generated within a defined maximum response time.

Key Features

  • C166SV2 CPU
  • Up to 100 MHz frequency
  • Packages: QFP-144, QFP-176
  • Up to four PWM units (CCU6)
  • Up to 1600 KB of flash memory
  • Up to 138 KB of RAM
  • Two very fast A/D converters
  • Up to ten serial interfaces (USIC)
  • Device access port (DAP)
  • Temperature: -40°C to +125°C

About

The XE167H (LQFP-144) and XE169H (LQFP-176) microcontroller series are based on Infineon's popular and well-established C166 architecture. The devices offer new safety features for safety integrity level (SIL) 2 and 3 applications such as a memory protection unit (MPU), memory checker (MCHK), and error correction code (ECC) for flash memory and SRAM.

XE166xH series - high line:

  • Offers a high level of system integration
  • Eliminates the need for additional peripheral devices and the associated software overhead
  • Provides system security and fail-safe mechanisms
  • Provides effective means to control (and reduce) the device’s power consumption

Addressing these goals, Infineon developed the XC2000 family of 16/32-bit CMOS microcontrollers.

By registering for My Infineon Collaboration Platform (MyICP), you gain access to additional microcontroller information: Technical add-on documentation, training, tools, and much more. Please follow these steps to get started:
