C505CA enhances the C500 family of 8-bit microcontrollers by providing full CAN version 2.0B integrated on-chip and focusing on automotive body and industrial control applications. With up to 256 B RAM running at up to 20 MHz, the microcontroller meets the current requirements for small controllers with high performance, optimized EMC behavior, and fast communication between decentralized sensors, actuators, and the host. C505CA offers an asynchronous/synchronous serial interface and a highly accurate 10-bit ADC integrated on-chip with eight analog input channels. They are additionally characterized by on-chip peripherals with a programmable 15-bit watchdog unit. C505CA devices use the package type of P-MQFP-44.
