Overview

XC88x series expands Infineon’s 8-bit XC800 microcontroller (MCU) family to provide more scalable performance and up to 32 KB flash memory for cost-sensitive automotive applications. Operating at up to 24 MHz and equipped with a 16-bit vector computer, XC868/XC888 MCUs offer 16-bit performance at 8-bit costs.

As part of the XC800 family, the XC886, XC888CLM, and XC888LM microcontroller series is the high-end extension of the XC800 family focusing on body applications. With an extended memory size of up to 32 KB flash and up to 256 bytes RAM running at up to 24 MHz, the microcontrollers are well suited for high-end BCM and gateway applications. XC88x MCUs offer a state-of-the-art connectivity with up to eight ADC channels. The family include features such as on-chip oscillator and embedded voltage regulator (EVR), supporting single voltage supply of 3.3 V or 5.0 V.
