Infineon tritt dem Board of Directors der Connectivity Standards Alliance bei

München und Davis, Kalifornien – 18. November 2021 – Die Connectivity Standards Alliance (CSA) und die Infineon Technologies AG (FSE: IFX / OTCQX: IFNNY), ein weltweit führender Anbieter von Halbleiterlösungen, haben heute bekannt gegeben, dass Infineon dem Board of Directors der Alliance als Promoter-Mitglied beitreten wird. Die CSA ist eine Organisation mit mehr als 400 Unternehmen, die gemeinsam daran arbeiten, das Internet der Dinge (IoT) durch technologische Standards zu vereinfachen und zu harmonisieren. Infineon wird im Vorstand der CSA von Skip Ashton vertreten sein, einem langjährigen Verfechter von Standards im Bereich IoT. Ashton war bereits in führenden Positionen bei der Zigbee Alliance und der Thread Group tätig und arbeitet als Distinguished Engineer bei Infineon.
Die bedeutende Rolle innerhalb der CSA unterstreicht das Engagement von Infineon, globale offene Standards zu fördern und die Zukunft des IoT zu gestalten. So werden die Stärken des Unternehmens in den Bereichen Smart Home und Sicherheit die Arbeitsgruppe Matter sowie die Alliance insgesamt um wertvolle Erfahrungen und Führung bereichern.

Infineon hat seit dem Beitritt zur CSA im Jahr 2020 in kürzester Zeit einen positiven Einfluss ausgeübt und globales Expertenwissen im Bereich IoT und Halbleiterlösungen eingebracht. Hiervon profitieren zentrale Arbeitsgruppen wie Matter, Zigbee und Access Control. Das Unternehmen hat sich insbesondere aktiv an der Arbeit an Matter beteiligt – der neuen gemeinsamen Sprache für das Smart Home, die von über 200 weltweit agierenden Unternehmen unterstützt wird. Das breite Portfolio von Infineon an Matter-unterstützenden Lösungen umfasst AIROC™ Wi-Fi® und PSoC™ 6 MCUs, AIROC Bluetooth® und in Kürze AIROC Bluetooth LE & 802.15.4.
