As part of the C166 family, the XC161CJ/CS microcontroller is an improved representative of the Infineon family of the full featured 16-bit single-chip CMOS microcontroller, combining the extended functionality and performance of the C166S V2 core with powerful on-chip peripheral subsystems and on-chip flash memory. Its architecture has been optimized for high-instruction throughout and minimum response time to external interrupts and the peripheral systems have been integrated to reduce the need for CPU intervention, which allows to serve the diverse and varying needs of different application areas such as automotive, industrial control, or data communications with an extended memory size of up to 256 KB flash running at up to 40 MHz. The XC161CJ/CS microcontroller devices use the package type P/PG-TQFP-144.
