Overview

XC2768X (LQFP-100) and XC2788X (LQFP-144) microcontroller series are based on Infineon's popular and well-established C166 architecture. With an extended flash size of up to 1 MB at 128 MHz performance, the microcontroller is well suited for transmission and automotive applications.

The XC27x8X series is the high-performance extension of the XC2700 microcontroller family focusing on powertrain applications. The integrated Instruction Cache (ICache) offers a strong performance boost of up to 30 percent. An additional frequency increase to 128 MHz improves performance even more. The new family member comes with 1 MB of embedded flash memory and is targeted for automotive powertrain applications like x-by wire and engine management systems for standard four cylinder motors with direct injection, fulfilling the latest EURO emission standards and their international equivalents. The device uses 100-pin and 144-pin green LQFP package, 0.5 mm pitch.
