Overview

The XC22xxL-series which includes the microcontrollers XC222xL (VQFN-48) and XC223xL (QFP-64), is a superset of the C166 architecture and enlarges the XC2200 family by providing programmable watchdog timer and oscillator watchdog. It is equipped with a 40 MHz operating frequency, provides 12 KB of RAM and high speed 12-bit ADC with up to 19 channels. Typical applications for the XC22xxL-series are low-end, cost-sensitive body applications.

About

As part of the XC2200 family, the XC223xL (LQFP-64) and XC222xL (VQFN-48) microcontroller series is the high-end extension of the XC2200 family focusing on body applications. With an extended memory size of up to 160 KB flash and up to 12 KB RAM running at up to 40 MHz, the microcontrollers, are well suited for high-end BCM and gateway applications. This high-end extension of the XC2200 family as well as new low-end and high-performance products launching in 2010 will complete the rich portfolio of scalable products. XC22xxL MCUs offer a state-of-the-art connectivity with up to 19 ADC channels. They are additionally characterized by a rich peripheral set with a General Purpose Timer (GPT12E) unit. The XC22xxL family devices use the package type single voltage supply of 3.3 V to 5 V 64-pin green LQFP and 48-pin green VQFN package for space critical applications.

  • Single voltage supply (core supply over embedded voltage regulator)
  • Multi-functional general purpose timer unit with 5 timers
  • Up to 60 MIPS peak performance at 66MHz CPU clock
  • 64 KB to 160 KB flash with EEPROM emulation
  • Provides system security and fail-safe mechanisms
