About

The XMC7000 MCU family offers single and dual Arm® Cortex®-M7 cores running at 350MHz, supported by a Cortex®-M0+. The family is equipped with a comprehensive set of value added features, competitive set of security options, temperature range of -40 to 125°C, extended voltage operating range from 2.7 to 5.5V and low-power modes down to 8μA.

Peripherals such as SCB, CAN-FD, TCPWM and Gb Ethernet, make the MCU the perfect fit for sophisticated industrial use cases. The family comes in two series: XMC7100 and XMC7200 and it is available in TQFP and LFBGA packages scaling from 100 to 272 pins. The overall 17 part number variants meet the modern, flexible design requirements of industrial applications.

XMC7000 offers best-in-class compute performance addressing the industrial market needs. The MCU can be ideally used as system’s main control unit, taking advantage of the multiple communication interfaces, the big memory footprint and the advanced security options. XMC7000 is also the perfect fit for motor control, digital power conversion, and I/O applications. The low power modes of XMC7000 offer solution to energy-critical applications.

ModusToolbox™ software is a modern, extensible development environment supporting a wide range of Infineon microcontroller devices.

Provided as collection of development tools, libraries, and embedded runtime assets architected to provide a flexible and comprehensive development experience. The ModusToolbox™ software includes an extensive collection of GitHub-hosted repositories comprised of code examples, board support packages, middleware, and application support.

Infineon with partner RT-Labs has implemented six Fieldbus and Ethernet based protocols on the XMC7000 enabling seamless data exchange and control in automation systems: Profinet RT, EtherCAT Master, Ethernet/IP, CANopen, CC-Link and ModBus/TCP, by offering advanced libraries and user-friendly code examples.
