The KP467Q is a high-performance, high-precision, miniaturized digital absolute pressure sensor based on capacitive sensing principles. It is surface-micromachined with a monolithically integrated signal conditioning circuit. The device converts physical pressure into a 10-, 12-, or 14-bit digital value and transmits the information via the SPI interface. Additionally, an on-chip temperature sensor is integrated. Based on the received SPI command, the 10-, 12-, or 14-bit temperature data can also be transmitted through the SPI interface. The KP467Q features not only a power-down mode but also a dedicated Low-Power Monitoring (LPM) mode, which enables the sensor's use in battery monitoring applications to detect pressure pulses caused by thermal runaway events. The integrated diagnostics serve as a unique reliability feature, enabling testing of the sensor cells as well as the signal path. This diagnostic function can be activated via an SPI command.
