Infineon’s Integrated POL switching converters deliver benchmark efficiency and dramatically reduce system size. Solutions up to 35A are available in compact PQFN packages. Target applications include server, storage, routers and switches, telecom base stations, digital home media, mobile computing and embedded data processing. Solutions with and without PMBus digital communication are available in single output and multi-rail format.

 

Ready-to-go reference designs and the on-line PowerDesk simulator simplify the task of designing regulated voltage rails.

Integrated Point-of-load (IPOL) voltage regulator for high-density applications

 

The IR3883MTRPBF is an easy-to-use, fully integrated and highly efficient DC-DC regulator for every high density Point of Load applications. It is perfectly suited for NetCom, Telecom, Servers and Storage applications where high efficiency, high reliability and good thermals are required. It provides up to 3 A continuous current from 4.5 V to 14 V in a small 3 mm x 3 mm PQFN package. This voltage regulator employs an enhanced stability Constant On-time engine that makes it stable with ceramic capacitors without compensation for an easy design and layout. Solutions from competitors require extra components for stability and for ripple injection. The IR3883MTRPBF can save five components in a design.
