The S28HS256TGZBHM813 is a 256 Mbit SEMPER™ NOR flash (HS-T) with octal interface (8S-8S-8S, 8D-8D-8D) for automotive code storage and fast boot. It operates from 1.7 V to 2.0 V over -40 to 125C and supports 166 MHz SDR and 200 MHz DDR, delivering up to 400 MByte/s bandwidth. ISO 26262-compliant features include ECC (SECDED), interface CRC, data integrity CRC, SafeBoot, and AutoBoot.

Features

  • 45 nm MIRRORBIT™ stores 2 bits/cell
  • Uniform or hybrid sector architecture
  • 256 KB sectors plus 32 x 4 KB sectors
  • 256- or 512-byte program buffer
  • 1024-byte OTP secure silicon array
  • Embedded ECC on 16-byte data units
  • Corrects 1-bit, detects 2-bit errors
  • ECC status, trap addr, error counter
  • INT# can signal ECC error detection
  • Interface CRC for read/program/erase
  • SafeBoot detects init/config faults
  • AutoBoot reads after power-up/reset

Benefits

  • Higher density lowers memory cost
  • Sector options optimize update times
  • 4 KB sectors cut config reflashing
  • Faster writes improve throughput
  • OTP enables IDs and secure config
  • ECC boosts data reliability in use
  • Detects corruption before it spreads
  • Built-in ECC diagnostics ease debug
  • INT# enables fast fault handling
  • CRC reduces bus-transfer bit errors
  • SafeBoot enables recovery after fault
  • AutoBoot shortens boot time
