Infineon’s latest generation of CoolSET™ AC-DC integrated power stages in fixed frequency and quasi-resonant switching schemes offers increased robustness and outstanding performance. These AC-DC solutions are enabled by the integration of the latest 700V and 800V CoolMOS™ P7 superjunction MOSFET family in both DIP-7 and DSO-12 packages.
Our fixed-frequency high-performance CoolSET™ devices increase AC to DC conversion efficiency with lower switching frequencies under mid- and light-load conditions thanks to the integrated frequency reduction mode. The quasi-resonant CoolSET™, integrating an intelligent digital algorithm, allows the PWM controller to minimize the switching frequency spread under different AC line input conditions.

We also provide a broad selection of high-efficiency, high-performance PWM-PFC controllers to support emerging requirements, driven by PFC regulations and customer demands for ultra-low standby power and increased AC-DC power conversion efficiency at low cost. Our PFC controllers support both discontinuous conduction mode (DCM) and continuous conduction mode (CCM). Wider VCC operating ranges can be achieved with CCM designs.

Our XDP™ SMPS digital multi-mode PFC and LLC combo controllers offer high performance with integrated drivers and 600V depletion cells designed for boost PFC and half-bridge LLC.
