The use of our products in a wide variety of systems and customer solutions makes working at Infineon particularly varied and exciting. The diversity and intercultural teams always open up new viewpoints and approaches, allowing us to achieve our goals in the best possible way.
Understanding customer systems and their requirements in order to select the most optimal products for the design. At the same time, friendly and open communication with the customer is extremely important.
I focus on the area of drive technology in industrial drives and home appliances. This includes applications like washing machines, air conditioners, and refrigerators. Infineon offers a broad product portfolio, from microcontrollers and sensors through gate drivers to power stages. Software solutions such as AI or predictive maintenance are also becoming increasingly interesting. The results of my work are design-ins and design-wins for our products in our customers’ systems, as well as good relationships, technical discussions, and trend analysis in the field of drive technology and applications.
Solving problems together with our customers and becoming a trusted advisor. It’s always great to see our products contributing to increased efficiency and sustainability.
What interests me most are the different perspectives and approaches of different cultures. I always like to understand why people, companies, and cultures act the way they do and what their motivation is.

I communicate with customers and solve the problems they report. Moreover, I collect necessary and valuable information from customers and feed this back to the internal team.
This is a security product based on hardware from Connected Secure System (CSS) that is widely used in device authentication, IP protection and other applications requiring high-level security.
It can be hard work, as you never know what the customer’s issue will be – but it is exciting. I enjoy every design-win (DW) and design-in (DI) and am so proud to work with Infineon.
As most of the products I am responsible for work on embedded systems, I have to continuously enhance the know-how on various platforms that work as masters.
All of our management ‒ not only the division heads, but also the CEO in GC ‒ know every employee well, take care of them and encourage everyone. I feel respected and valued, which makes me work harder and feel happier.

Working with people, especially in an international environment, drives me on a daily basis. It’s a perfect position to find fast and flexible solutions for our customers while taking the business priorities into account.

I led the Field Application Engineer (FAE) team, supervising and providing technical support for the Connected Secure Systems (CSS) products in EMEA, as well as specifying and coordinating improvement projects, for example in the distribution strategy.
I have always received the support of my supervisors and other stakeholders which helped me to grow personally. Additionally, Infineon offers a wide variety of training opportunities. These positives, in combination with the right motivation, are helpful when it comes to facing new challenges and further developing your own career.
Getting to know different people of all ages and backgrounds while sharing a cab, waiting in line, or traveling the world… Everybody has their own experiences and views of the world and it inspires me to talk to people, giving me a new perspective.
I was given the opportunity to lead a team as a 28-year-old woman in a technical company.

As an Application Engineer, I am always focused on technical trends and challenges. In my role, I also monitor and analyze the market needs so I know how to extend my knowledge and skills. Communication and brainstorming with customers or colleagues is a big part of my job as well.

Product definition, customer support, creation and definition of new reference designs for microcontrollers, writing of application notes, and creation/coordination/definition of a software ecosystem for microcontrollers.
My work requires a lot of internal communication across divisions such as Research & Development (R&D), Field Application Engineering (FAEs), and Sales. Such coordination activities are probably my biggest challenge.
Since the world (and also work) is becoming more globalized and interconnected, it is very valuable to know several foreign languages. So my advice to my younger self would be to invest more time in learning foreign languages.
