EZ-USB™ FX2LP USB 2.0 Peripheral Controller
Introducing USB 480 Mbps to 16-bit data bus with 8051
Infineon's EZ-USB™ FX2LP is the industry’s defacto USB peripheral controller, which can add a USB 480 Mbps connectivity to any system.
The general programmable interface (GPIF) of EZ-USB™ FX2LP can connect to a processor, an image sensor, an FPGA, or an ASIC. Users can program GPIF (general programmable interface) to behave like a FIFO, an asynchronous SRAM, an address/data multiplexed interface, a CompactFlash, or a proprietary interface.
By integrating the USB 2.0 transceiver, a serial interface engine (SIE), an enhanced 8051 microcontroller, and a programmable peripheral interface in a single chip, Infineon has created a cost-effective solution that provides superior time-to-market advantages with low power to enable bus-powered applications.
