High Power IGBT-Modules available in different topologies with current ratings from 200 A to 1500 A
Our portfolio of 3300 V IGBT power modules comprises different product families, configurations, current ratings as well as IGBT chip generations. The well-established IHV B as well as the XHP™ 3 modules both feature 3300 V. They come in chopper, dual and single switch configuration with a current rating between 200 A and 2000 A. 3300 V IGBT modules can typically be found in motor control and drives, uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS), transmission and distribution (T&D), commercial, construction and agricultural vehicles (CAV) or traction applications.
Choose between different IGBT chip generations based on your requirements, for example the soft and fast switching TRENCHSTOP™ IGBT3 (L3 and E3) or soft switching TRENCHSTOP™ IGBT4.

XHP™ - FleXible High-Power Platform
The modules comes in two housings, XHP™ 2 and XHP™ 3. Both have the same dimensions, 140 mm in length, 100 mm in width and 40 mm in height. This gives product designers the opportunity to build homogenous solutions across different current and voltage ratings in order to implement optimized power converter concepts. A main focus in development of the new platform was to achieve the flexibility and reliability while assuring optimal integration into customer systems.
The new housing for high-power IGBT modules is designed to cover the full-voltage range of IGBT chips from 3.3 to 6.5 kV. Principle applications of the new package are expected in industrial drives, traction, renewable energy and power transmission applications.
3.3 kV modules in IHV housing
The various use and in consequence market leadership of the Infineon 3.3 kV IHV (IGBT High- Voltage) Modules is based on customers, that especially like its supreme reliability at harshest environmental conditions, proven by field-records over decades and the unbeatable power density, which enables in consequence their own success.
4.5kV Modules in IHV housing
The 4,5 kV trench plus Field stop IGBT and Field stop diode chips fill the gap between the voltage classes of 3.3 kV and 6.5 kV IGBT modules. Using IHV modules, enable to participate in the strong growing market of transmission and distribution, as well as in heavy-duty medium-voltage drives and transportation.
6.5 kV Modules in IHV housing
The 6.5 kV IHV to addresses customers’ demand of high power density, efficiency, long lifecycle, reliability and reduced systems costs in high voltage applications like traction and HVDC.
