Infineon team fulfills over 700 Christmas wishes

Dec 22, 2021 | Business & Financial Press

Villach/Klagenfurt/Graz – Infineon employees fulfilled more than 700 heartfelt wishes of children and young people from social-educational institutions in the region. For the fourth time, they made 1400 children's eyes light up - more than ever before.

Back in November, children and young people from social-educational institutions in the region such as "Amica Jugendbetreuung", "Diakonie de LaTour", "Josefinum", "Haus Antonius", SOS Kinderdorf and pro Juventute created their Christmas wishes in the form of wish cards.

Small wishes - big impact on the heart

The children and young people sent their lovingly handmade wish cards to the Infineon Christmas Angel. The cards were digitized and decorated the Infineon Christmas Wish Tree on a dedicated online platform. Infineon employees* from Infineon sites in  Villach, Klagenfurt and Graz then picked by click of the mouse the virtual wish cards from the tree within a few hours. They once again fulfilled over 700 heartfelt gifts – even more wishes than in previous years.

"I am incredibly proud that our Christmas wish tree has become an integral part of the Christmas season in the hearts of our employees. A big thank you to our employees and everyone who makes this great campaign possible and supports it," says Kornelia Geiger, project coordinator of the Infineon Christmas Wish Tree campaign.

As a regionally leading company, Infineon Austria also sees its responsibility in supporting social projects and promoting the quality of life locally. This commitment is supported by the employees and shows how important it is, to give joy and to convey cohesion - especially in this times. Every gift arrives at the right time, exactly where it is eagerly awaited.
