Living Automotive Excellence™
The most valuable aspect of cars is the people they carry. Therefore, safety should never be compromised. It is the most important consideration for everybody involved in making automobiles – from the smallest suppliers to the manufacturers themselves.
As car components become more and more complex, and as the number of control units in vehicles increases, the likelihood of a product failure becomes greater. Take a typical midsize vehicle, for example. It includes approximately 50 Electronic Control Units (ECU), each with up to 300 components. If we assume a low failure rate of 1 ppm (part per million) per component, an average of 15,000 failures will occur in every million vehicles manufactured.
Decreasing the average failure rate in a vehicle to below 150 ppm (1/100 of the above example) means that only 150 failures will occur in every million manufactured vehicles. Or stated differently, each of the approximately 300 components contained in an
ECU will have a failure rate significantly lower than 0.01 ppm or 10 ppb (parts per billion).
Our conclusion: if we are to guarantee the highest safety possible, we must deliver zero-defect products!
To implement a zero-defect mind-set in our people for zero-defect results in processes, production, and products we have established a comprehensive quality program. For us, it means focusing our efforts on zero-defect. For you, it means: Automotive
Excellence™.
With Automotive Excellence we are redefining reliability for automotive semiconductors. Our objective is simple: perfect quality for perfect safety. No-compromise!
