4 Channel CCM Buck LED Driver
This solution is provided as a Virtual Design. A Virtual Design is not available as an orderable kit from Infineon. The solution may have been developed by simulation, or/and on prototype boards whereby performance indicators are captured correspondingly by simulation or on prototype boards. PCB and software files are provided as part of each Virtual Design.
An LED driver capable of driving up to 4 channels using the inverted buck topology and operating in continuous conduction mode (CCM). The LED peak-current is controlled with a fixed MOSFET off-time using the XMC1000 microntroller. This design supports an input range of 12-48VDC and output current of 1A (peak) and 700mA (average).
The design also includes Digital Addressable Lighting Interface (DALI) and Digital Multiplex (DMX512) for smart lighting management.
