What are multi-module batteries battery packs?
MultI-module batteries consist of several single-battery modules which are connected in series or parallel. Typically large-format Lithium-ion battery packs consist of modules that are assembled together. Multi-module batteries are typical for applications with high-voltage batteries including automotive, e-forklifts, material handling, automated guided vehicles, e-boats, residential and utility size energy storage systems and UPS.
To ensure the optimal use of the energy, to control charging and discharging processes and to monitor each cell‘s state of Health (SoH) the Battery Management System (BMS) monitors and controls all processes impacting the battery.
Battery protection: recommended voltage classes and products for battery protection
