Infineon develops a new and energy efficient transistor technology
An Infineon research team has unveiled details of a new transistor architecture and introduced a prototype of its new multigate field-effect transistor technology at the VLSI symposium in Japan. This transistor architecture removes many of the barriers to the production of smaller, more powerful electronic devices and circuits. This for example boosts the capacity and the battery lifetime of mobile devices.
