The non-profit Hertie Foundation has recognized Infineon Germany's personnel policy and honored it with the "berufundfamilie" ("Career and Family") certificate. As early as 2010 Infineon Warstein was recognized as a "Family-Oriented Company in the Soest District" and has been recertified on a regular basis ever since.

In our opinion, a career is only positive for all sides involved when it is compatible with your current personal life situation. This is why build a framework that lets you schedule and distribute your working hours. Some examples are telecommuting and part-time solutions during or following parental leave, as well as taking advantage of a sabbatical.

"Six months after Nico was born I agreed with my manager on part-time employment in parental leave. The model was designed to meet my individual requirements. I work both at home and here on location at the Warstein site according to my family circumstances. This way I don't lose touch with the specialized side of my work and I can still pay proper attention to our little family."
Yvonne Benzler, Engineer in Technical Marketing

"In order to make it easier for my wife to re-enter her career after the birth of our son Oskar, I wanted to cut back on my career for two months to take care of him. In a part-time model I was able to design my work schedule very flexibly and balance family with career."
Karsten Guth, Senior Staff Expert / Teamlead in Technology Development

"Even before the birth of my son (age 4) and my daughter (age 1) it was comforting for my wife and me to know our backs would be covered in the exciting phase to come. When I became a father, I not only wanted to be the breadwinner for the family, I didn't want miss my son's and daughter's growth in the first few months. I wanted to stay dedicated in my work, but I also wanted to devote myself more to my family. I was able to succeed in doing both with a part-time model designed to fit my individual wishes."
