Automotive Low Dropout (LDO) Linear Voltage Regulator OPTIREG™ TLS850C2TE V33
supplying up to 500mA at 3.3V output voltage for always-on battery-connected applications

The OPTIREG™ Linear TLS850C2TEV33 is a linear voltage regulator with high performance,
very low dropout voltage and very low quiescent current.

With an input voltage range of 3 V to 40 V and very low quiescent current of only 20 µA, this
regulator is perfectly suitable for automotive or other supply systems permanently connected
to the battery.

The new loop concept combines fast regulation and very high stability while requiring only
one small ceramic capacitor of 1 µF at the output. At output currents below 100 mA the device
has a very low dropout voltage of only 120 mV. The operating range starts at an input voltage
of only 3 V (extended operating range). This makes the TLS850C2TEV33 suitable for
automotive systems that need to operate during cranking condition.

Model performance :
- dynamic behavior not modeled (CQ/ESR stability, line/load transient response,
start-up)
- static behavior is modelled by approximation to the real behavior of the device
over temperature
- the thermal simulations represent an approximation of the actual thermal
behavior of the device according to the JEDEC standards at Power = 1.28 Watt
and Ambient Temperature = 85 °C

Thermal model description:
THERMAL_MODEL = 1: JEDEC 1s0p 600mm2 cooling area
THERMAL_MODEL = 2: JEDEC 1s0p 300mm2 cooling area
THERMAL_MODEL = 3: JEDEC 1s0p, footprint
THERMAL_MODEL = 4: JEDEC 2s2p, with vias
THERMAL_MODEL = 10: No self-heating, only TAMB value used as a temperature
