The TLS208D1EJV is a monolithic integrated linear voltage post regulator.
The TLS208D1EJV regulates an input voltage VI in the range of 2.7 V ≤ VI ≤ 18 V
to an adjustable output voltage of 0.8 V to 5.25 V output voltage with a precision
of ±2 %. The TLS208D1EJV is especially designed for applications with a
permanent connection to preregulators like DC-DC converters. The TLS208D1EJV
can be also used in all other applications requiring a stabilized voltage of 0.8 V to 5.25 V.

The device is designed for the harsh environment of automotive applications.
Therefore it is protected against overload, short circuit and overtemperature
conditions by the implemented output current limitation and the overtemperature
shutdown circuit.

Thermal model description:
THERMAL_MODEL = 1: JEDEC 1s0p, 600mm2 cooling area
THERMAL_MODEL = 2: JEDEC 1s0p, 300mm2 cooling area
THERMAL_MODEL = 3: JEDEC 1s0p, footprint
THERMAL_MODEL = 4: JEDEC 2s2p
THERMAL_MODEL = 10: No self heating, only TEMP value used as temperature

The resistor divider for a specific output voltage can
be calculated as follows:
R1 = ((VQ/Vadj)-1)*R2
Vadj = Vref ≈ 800 mV (should be tweaked to
actual simulated value in the design parameters
for accurate results),
and R2 <= 100 kΩ

For VQ_max = 5.25 V, R1 <= 5.25*R2
and R1_max = 525 kΩ

Model performance :
- dynamic behavior not modeled (CQ/ESR stability, line/load transient response,
start-up, PSRR)
- static behavior is modelled by approximation to the real behavior of the device
over temperature
- the thermal simulations represent an approximation of the actual thermal
behavior of the device according to the JEDEC standards at power = 1Watt,
and Ambient Temperature = 85 °C

Reset Output (RO):
The open collector output can be connected to a microcontroller
using a external pull up resistor. If the functionality is not required,
the pin can be left open.
