12V Automotive Motor Full-Bridge Driver with dual Half-Bridge Driver IC
The model contains 4 different Junction to Ambient thermal networks associated to different metallization and cooling areas.
To switch between the four networks available, change the value of THERMAL_MODEL parameter which can be found on the provided setup test

where: P=power on the power transistor; T=ambient temperature
The Ambient temperature of the entire chip can be set by connecting a voltage source to TAMB input pin.
Junction temperature can be monitored on TJ output pin.
TJ is always TAMB + temperature due to self-heating of the DMOS.
It is required to let the TJ pin open (no external connection)
The convention is 1V=1°C
SR selection mode is determined only when INH voltage is low and IN voltage can be high or low. Also, it is not take into account the pulses
rate on IN pin for SR changes.
SR= Slew Rate external parameter to set desired switching times for HS or LS.

The BTN9990LV is an integrated high current half-bridge for motor drive applications. It is part of the
integrated half-bridge NovalithIC™+ family containing one p-channel high-side MOSFET and one n-channel
low-side MOSFET with an integrated driver IC in one package. Due to the p-channel high-side switch the
need for a charge pump is eliminated thus minimizing EME. Interfacing to a microcontroller is made easy
by the integrated driver IC which features logic level inputs, diagnosis with current sense, slew rate adjustment,
dead time generation and protection against overtemperature, under voltage, overcurrent and short circuit.
The BTN9990LV provides a cost optimized solution for protected high current PWM motor drives with very
low board space consumption.
