GPS / GLONASS / COMPASS (GNSS) LNA
Low noise amplifiers for fast system design
GPS/GLONASS/COMPASS navigation devices, whether it they are personal navigation devices (PND), mobile phones, tablets, smart watches or cameras, require a low or ultra-low noise RF amplifier (LNA) as well as high linearity enough to enhance receiver sensitivity for best localization even under bad conditions or low battery. Most of the smartphones today feature navigation applications, which impose even greater demands on linearity, size, and power consumption compared to some stand-alone personal navigation devices (PNDs).
Infineon offers a wide range of GNSS LNAs that enhance signal sensitivity. With ultra-low current consumption and wide supply voltage range, Infineon’s range of antenna GPS LNA IC products offer high compatibility and flexible design.

Infineon’s extensive portfolio includes low power LNAs as well as high linearity LNAs for GNSS applications. Our product portfolio includes both single and dual band LNAs.
Infineon GNSS LNAs developed in Infineon’s advanced SiGe process offer:
• best-in-class noise figure
• best-in-class linearity
• best-in-class form factor
All LNAs are developed in close association with major OEMs to satisfy all performance criteria and to enable easy and fast system design.
Low power or high linearity LNA
Infineon’s range of ultra-low power LNAs have lower consumption rates and preserve valuable battery power at a very high gain. They are ideal for those applications where battery life is the primary focus. When power consumption is not a main issue, high linearity LNAs can offer solid performance and ultra-low noise figures.
Single or dual band LNA
For the purpose of accurate positioning an approach using either two single band LNAs for L1 and L2/L5, or a single dual band LNA covering both simultaneously provides the flexibility to implement Infineon’s GNSS LNAs in any design.
Infineon’s range GPS LNAs allows developers of smart phones, tablets, cameras, and wearables to integrate smaller but more powerful navigation systems into their designs. Improving signal sensitivity enables users to have better access to precise navigation systems in both urban and remote environments.
