Overview

The Infineon CampusEvents aims to intensify the cooperation between Infineon Austria and the university landscape. Since 2016, the format has given students insights into the semiconductor industry, combined with theoretical knowledge and practical experience - together with and through Infineon experts, renowned professors as well as with partner companies/ start-ups. Infineon thus offers the most innovative employer branding within Austria, but also far beyond the country's borders, to attract students from all over the world. But what are the benefits for students through CampusEvents:

• Top academic lectures: Get to know the latest research on semiconductor fabs and related topics by internationally renowned universities.
• Industry insights: Get to know Infineon Austria - one of the leading companies in research and innovation in Austria
• Boost your career: Use your chance to find topics out your personal MSc- and PhD-theses, internships or even a job for after you graduate. Each of the participants can prove their skills during an interview with either an Infineon expert or a colleague from the HR department.
• Extend your network: Get to know smart and wonderful people, students, lecturers and employees of Infineon Austria.
• Earn a certificate: The certificate will be helpful for job applications. Regarding credits please contact your professors.

We currently offer our students 3 different formats per year:

 

WinterSchool

Are you interested in technical topics (such as power electronics, silicon carbide, chip factory of the future, cyber security, tech for green)? Do you prefer to participate in online events from home or anywhere in the world? Then the Online WinterSchool (only 3 days, online via Webex, always in February) is just the right CampusEvent for you:

• Listen to world-class speakers, wellknown professors and top Infineon experts.
• Be part fo a fireside online chat with Infineon´s top-management.
• Participate awesome interactive lessons (Networking Games, PhD-Pitches, Online Pub-Quiz etc.).
• Get in touch with other technical students, from all over the world...
• Use the chance, to network with students as well experts.

MasterClass

The MasterClass is a new format of our Infineon CampusEvents series with the aim to additionally reach a selected group of students (approx. 30 students, e.g. Technical Physics, 3 days, on site at @Infineon Campus in Villach). For these participants a special programme with workshops and lab tours by internal and external lecturers is offered. This SchoolEvent also includes special evening activities with your technical student group in the area of Villach. • Be part of 3-day SchoolEvent, with exciting lectures and workshop on a really specific/ special topic from top speakers.
• Participate in awesome onsite interactive lessons and get in touch with other international technical students.
• Participate in onsite Campus-Tours, Showroom-Tours etc...
• Join the MSc-Pitch-Session and take the chance to present your topic in front of a jury.
• Network with Infineon managers from the different projects and departments in the "Ask me anything session".
• Find out about all open positions and take the unique opportunity for a personal talk.
• The Event includes also a special evening programm like a PubQuiz, Outdoor-Activities etc.

 

SummerSchool

With the third and also largest Infineon CampusEvent we offer the SummerSchool. This event is open to all students (limited to 45 participants) and takes place every year in September. The main goal of this event is to give young technical talents insights into technical areas and future opportunities at Infineon Austria. Internal and external experts will share their knowledge with the participants on site for one week. In addition to the lectures, a varied programme is organised for all participants, including attractive activities such as a climbing session or a special "pub quiz evening". • Be part of 5-day SchoolEvent with exciting lectures and workshop on a current, very interesting topic.
• Participate in awesome onsite interactive lessons and get in touch with other international technical students.

• Join the Pitch-Session and take the chance to present your topic in front of a jury.
• Network with Infineon managers from the different projects and departments in the "Ask me anything session".
• Find out about all open positions and take the unique opportunity for a personal talk.
• The Event includes also a special evening programm like a PubQuiz, Outdoor-Activities etc.
