Title: Are your contacts fried? We have the solid state solution.

Presenter: Dan Moore, Product Marketing Manager

Summary: Electromechanical Relays are being replaced by Solid State Relays (SSRs)  in DC applications where the need for reliability and availability are a must. SSRs are immune to the wear out mechanisms that are inherent to their mechanical counterparts while offering additional features such as current sense, PWM capability and fault tolerance. Some of the technical advantages of the SSRs include:

  • Almost unlimited number of switching cycles
  • Immune to vibration and dust
  • No serviceable parts such as fuses
  • Weight, size and energy reduction
  • Noiseless operation

Examples will be shown on the proper selection of the SS switch taking into account the voltage and temperature operating range, load characteristics and desired behavior during overload conditions. The session will enable the Sales Engineer to make a determination if a particular application is a target for a SSR and will be able to assess the system cost savings the implementation can bring (smaller wire gauge, miniaturization, reduced warranty repairs, etc.).

Title: Securing the Future

Presenters: Shawn Slusser, Vice President, Automotive Segment and Joerg Borchert, VP of Chip Card and Security ICs NA

Summary: Infineon has been a leading supplier for Security in both the Smart Card and the Embedded Products Markets for over 25 years. There is now a need for security in almost every market and application for which Infineon is well positioned to be one of the industries dominant suppliers. At a high level selling security is like selling and insurance policy, but we want to focus on “where we win”, “why we win”, and “how do we partner”.

Title: Securing revenues by securing devices and infrastructure.

Presenter: Greg Coogan, Business Development Manager

Summary: Infineon has the best products for the fastest growing security market in world. Driven by the need to protect cloud services, corporate networks, home systems, and consumer products from hackers and counterfeiters, our scalable OTPIGA Trust and TPM Family of devices enables a high level of security for IoT networks and accessory authentication.
