At PCIM 2025, our experts are looking forward to a lively exchange with you on the following topics
Green, intelligent buildings and smarter living
Our homes are central to our lives, but they consume significant amounts of energy as a result of heating, cooking, etc. By adopting residential energy systems such as photovoltaic (PV) panels and heat pumps, along with smart, energy-efficient electronic devices and EV chargers, we can greatly reduce our carbon footprint in the home. Semiconductors, including sensors and microcontrollers, play a vital role in enhancing energy efficiency and enabling smart, connected homes. Managing the energy flow through these technologies is at the heart of efforts to optimize consumption and integrate renewable energy sources. Our advanced technologies, based on both SiC and GaN, ensure top-tier energy efficiency and reliability for energy generation and consumption. Visit our booth to experience full system solutions spanning different solar inverter topologies (micro and string inverters), as well as demos focused on power optimization and heat pump boosting. All of which can make a valuable contribution to improving energy efficiency and driving sustainability in the home.
Powering AI – from grid to core
The exponential data growth driven by digitalization and artificial intelligence is significantly increasing the energy requirements of data centers. Our innovative portfolio, extending from the grid to the core and leveraging the benefits of Si, SiC, and GaN to achieve the highest efficiency and density, includes solutions for top-of-the-rack switches, power supply units, battery backup units, DC-DC networking and computing, and protection. Additionally, with our novel power system reliability modeling solution, data centers can maximize power supply reliability and uptime, enabling real-time power supply health monitoring based on dynamic system parameter logging. In summary, our solutions can help reduce major outages and TCO while also promoting greener AI by paving the way for more efficient AI servers.
Sustainable mobility, with zero-emission electromobility
Our leading power solutions for traction inverters, on-board chargers, DC-DC converters, and battery management systems support efforts to rapidly expand e-mobility, e-transportation, e-CAVs, and the enabling charging infrastructure. All of which is helping to deliver greater convenience to drivers and build acceptance.
Our PCIM highlights include our AURIXTM Kit for xEV power conversion. We will be showcasing an easy and cost-effective development/learning platform for the model-based design of digitally controlled DC-DC converter applications. This multi-topology application kit illustrates how to control PSFB/DAB/LLC topologies either with VCM, ACMC, or PCMC control methods using AURIX™ TC3x or AURIX™ TC4x MCUs.
We will also be unveiling WBG innovations for on-board chargers and DC-DC converters. Our latest SiC- and GaN-based demonstrators will highlight how WBG technology can achieve remarkable performance enhancements through innovative topologies. Design enhancements across components like power switches, gate drivers, microcontrollers, and current sensors are giving designers new-found levels of flexibility and opportunities to build in future-oriented optimizations.
