Our innovative portfolio, extending from the grid to the core and leveraging the benefits of Si, SiC, and GaN to achieve the highest efficiency and density, includes solutions for top-of-the-rack switches, power supply units, battery backup units, DC-DC networking and computing, and protection. Additionally, with our novel power system reliability modeling solution, data centers can maximize power supply reliability and uptime, enabling real-time power supply health monitoring based on dynamic system parameter logging. In summary, our solutions can help reduce major outages and TCO while also promoting greener AI by paving the way for more efficient AI servers. 

 Sustainable mobility, with zero-emission electromobility

Our leading power solutions for traction inverters, on-board chargers, DC-DC converters, and battery management systems support efforts to rapidly expand e-mobility, e-transportation, e-CAVs, and the enabling charging infrastructure. All of which is helping to deliver greater convenience to drivers and build acceptance.

Our PCIM highlights include our AURIXTM Kit for xEV power conversion. We will be showcasing an easy and cost-effective development/learning platform for the model-based design of digitally controlled DC-DC converter applications. This multi-topology application kit illustrates how to control PSFB/DAB/LLC topologies either with VCM, ACMC, or PCMC control methods using AURIX™ TC3x or AURIX™ TC4x MCUs.

We will also be unveiling WBG innovations for on-board chargers and DC-DC converters. Our latest SiC- and GaN-based demonstrators will highlight how WBG technology can achieve remarkable performance enhancements through innovative topologies. Design enhancements across components like power switches, gate drivers, microcontrollers, and current sensors are giving designers new-found levels of flexibility and opportunities to build in future-oriented optimizations. 

 Silicon and Wide-Bandgap at its best

Our power, driver, microcontroller, and software solutions based on Si, SiC and GaN are playing an essential role in taking energy efficiency and green power to the next level. The right power topology and combination of Si and WBG semiconductor switches are pivotal in unlocking the full potential of power electronic systems. By strategically aligning the topology and switch technology with the application requirements, engineers can achieve remarkable improvements in performance, efficiency, power density, and system costs. Highlights at PCIM include our proven CoolMOS™ 8 650 V and OptiMOS™ 8 100 V MOSFETs in silicon, along with our new CoolSiC™ JFET that offers groundbreaking levels of efficiency, system integration, and robustness for next-generation, high-voltage, solid-state power distribution applications. Also on display will be our CoolSET™ system in package, our CoolGaN™ BDS 650 V G5 bidirectional switch technology and our CoolGaN™ Drive high-voltage integrated GaN solution.

And last but not least, do not miss this highlight: Single-chip solutions for USB-C battery charging

Experience the benefits of integration with the EZ-PD™ PMG1-B2, a 240 W USB-C EPR solution designed to simplify battery charging in e-bikes, power tools, and home appliances etc. These solutions combine a built-in buck-boost controller for battery charging with an integrated high-voltage MCU, featuring an ARM® Cortex®-M0 core, 128 KB flash, and 8 KB SRAM. The result is a reduced bill of materials (BOM) and exceptional charging efficiency. A preview of this demo will be available at Arrow’s booth. This demo will be showcased at the ARROW Booth in Hall 4A.

In the dynamic world of electronics, the pursuit of efficiency has led to a new class of semiconductors known as wide-bandgap (WBG) technologies. These materials are revolutionizing power electronics and various applications driving the green and digital transformation.

Our new CoolSiC™ MOSFET 650 V and 1200 V Generation 2 improve MOSFET key performance figures such as stored energy and charge by up to 20 percent compared with the previous generation – without compromising quality and reliability levels. G2 thus leads to higher overall energy efficiency and further contributes to decarbonization.

You can also look forward to our GaN power solutions which offer a wide range of innovative packages, discrete and integrated solutions. We will also showcase the growing range of solid-state relays and circuit breakers that are replacing electromechanical switches. In the past, solid-state solutions were limited to niche applications due to technology and cost constraints. Now, however, new and advanced power semiconductors are enabling cost-effective and reliable solutions across a broad application spectrum.

We will also exhibit a stack assembly solution for high-end Press Pack IGBTs. These easy-to-mount assemblies are suitable for industrial MV drives and e-marine applications, but also for power quality equipment such as static synchronous compensators (STATCOMs).

And last but not least, we will present easy-to-implement reference designs and tools for selecting the most suitable parts for your motor drive application, be it general-purpose drives, servo drives, or medium-voltage drives.

Traction inverter with Fusion, SSC and discrete concepts: The frame module has dominated the power stage of inverters for many years as it is industrially standardized and "off the shelf". Today, however, the market is demanding more customized solutions to optimize space and cost. As a result, stakeholders are exploring new power concepts such as Fusion inverters - combining different technologies like Si and SiC - SSC modules, and the discrete TO247 package.

Traction inverter system for commercial vehicles: We offer a complete system solution for the simple, fast and scalable development of inverter platforms. Our latest product is the EconoDUAL™3 standard and wave cooling power module, based on the latest IGBT7 technology and scalable for medium and high-power inverters. Both IGBT and CoolSiC™ options are offered, enabling an optimized power-to-cost ratio. In combination with our EiceDRIVER™ gate driver and XENSIV™ current sensors, we enable reduced development effort and thus faster time to market. 

Railroad traction systems: This demo station presents a liquid-cooled power electronics building block (PEBB) that we use to evaluate the performance of our CoolSiC™ 3.3 kV XHP™ 2 modules in typical railroad traction system applications. This module is designed for high switching frequencies, low losses, and high power density, enabling system energy savings of up to 10% and a reduction in converter volume of 10 to 25%. Our .XT interconnect technology enhances the cycling capability and module lifetime. These robust, energy-efficient, and compact modules are particularly suitable for demanding applications such as rail traction.

High-power fast charging solution: Charging larger trucks, mining vehicles and ships in the harbor requires a power range of over 1 MW. These high-performance rectifiers use highly efficient and cost-effective thyristors on air- or water-cooled heat sinks. Double-sided cooling reduces the footprint, and our modular design makes each project highly scalable.
