AURIX™ 32-bit microcontrollers for automotive and industrial applications

In 1999, Infineon introduced the pioneering AUDO (AUtomotive unifieD processOr) family, featuring a unified RISC / MCU / DSP processor core. This 32-bit TriCore™ microcontroller quickly became a powerhouse in computational capabilities. Over the years, Infineon has continuously evolved and refined this concept, now reaching the sixth generation of TriCore™.

The journey of TriCore™ has led to the development of the AURIX™ TC2x and TC3x multicore family. AURIX™ stands out by offering easy-to-use functional safety support, robust performance, and a future-proof security solution within a highly scalable product family. Taking the next step in performance, the AURIX™ TC4x is built using 28 nm technology, ensuring ultimate reliability even in harsh automotive environments.

As with previous AURIX™ generations, the dual frontend concept secures a continuous supply. Infineon also provides an extensive ecosystem, including AUTOSAR libraries developed since 2005, and safety software to help manufacturers meet SIL / ASIL safety standards.
