Infineon´s multi half-bridge ICs range from 2-fold half-bridge ICs to 12-fold half-bridge ICs.
The products include the complete driver and output stage and are designed to drive small DC motors in various automotive applications. Depending on the output configuration sequential or parallel driving of several motors is possible. All products are equipped with several diagnostic features such as Temperature pre-warning (TW), Thermal shutdown (TSD), Power supply failure (PSF), Overload (OL), SPI error (SPI_ERR) , Negated Power ON Reset (NPOR) and proctection features such as overvoltage protection (OV), undervoltage protection (UV), smart clamping (SCL) and offer overcurrent (OC) and over temperature protection (OT).

Infineon's Multi Half-Bridge ICs are driver ICs which include multiple half-bridges; no external MOSFETs are needed. Currently Infineon offers 8 products including 12-fold half-bridge driver ICs.
Infineon's Multi Half-Bridge ICs are optimized but not limited to automotive brushed DC motor control applications as HVAC flap control with various numbers of motors; furthermore the TLE94xyz family offers configurable outputs for LEDs and are also a perfect fit for mirror adjustment inclusive lighting in one device. The devices are suitable for peak currents below 0.9A , nonetheless several outputs can be connected in parallel to increase the current capability.
Besides motor control, the TLE94xyz family can drive any other inductive, capacitive and resistive loads within the device electrical characteristics such as monostable relays, bistable relays and can also control bipolar stepper motors in full-step and half-step mode.
The product family concept of TLE94xyz devices offer high flexibility and reduced design-in effort - all devices are pin and SW compatible. Reduced system cost and small PCB footprint (up to 85% smaller footprint) are achieved by integration of multiple drivers and power stages in one device and feature optimization to reduce external components. For the TLE94112EL Infineon offers an evaluation board: The DC Motor Shield with TLE94112EL for Arduino.
The TLE94112EL is capable to drive up to 6 small DC motors in parallel mode or up to 11 DC motors in cascaded mode. All outputs can drive up to 0.9A.
